ASNET-AM Automated Centralized Certificate Management System
Taking into account the active development and use of Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) protocol and especially considering availability of ACME-based free wildcard SSL/TLS certificates from several Certificate Authorities (CA) like ZeroSSL & Let's Encrypt, ASNET-AM has implemented Automated Centralized Certificate Management System.
The goal is to provide centralized secure and automated free digital certificates service for ASNET-AM Members.
Currently ASNET-AM Automated Centralized Certificate Management System provides centralized secure and automated free digital certificates service for multiple domains to different types of network services such as web servers, mail servers, etc. SSL/TLS certificates are being centrally obtained and updated from different CAs and then are made securely and internally available at the Central Server. Each Agent can securely access the Central Server to get and use the certificate it requires. Such automated system allows provision and update of SSL/TLS certificates on multiple servers from one Centralized Server.
The initial concept of implementing own Automated Centralized Certificate Management System, that was presented at CSIT 2019 Conference was further developed and implemented by ASNET-AM team.
Given the fact that multiple domains are in use at ASNET-AM, the automation of the process mentioned above increases the effectiveness of securing the network services. By automating digital certificate usage with ACME protocol ASNET-AM certainly moves forward towards right direction, especially because ACME protocol is now being adopted by major CAs and because encreasing number of CAs provide ACME-based free certificates.
Structure of ASNET-AM Automated Centralized Certificate Management System structure is presented in pictures below:
